I said to the director of fashion imagery, ‘I’m very sorry, but that doesn’t work.’ And he said to me, ‘If you’re going to be like that, do it yourself.’ ” So, being Lagerfeld, he borrowed a Hasselblad, hired an assistant, and did just that.

via wmagazine.com

http://www.wmagazine.com/fashion/2013/03/fashion-designers-shoot-their-own-ca...

Visit my website for more information.
Donhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00960303867805884580noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7331921.post-91320115204629211682013-02-21T17:29:00.001-07:002013-02-21T17:29:34.913-07:00Photographer Michael David Friberg on "Getting Started" in editorial photography.

After you shoot some personal work you are proud of that you think is up to snuff, find some places you think your work fits in and show it to them. They tossed wreathes into the ocean, struggled through eulogies, and stood on the deck of a battleship while DeRamus recited the Pledge of Allegiance. It was an exhausting day. Asteroid 2012 DA14 will not strike us on February 15, 2013. But, if it did, its potential for destruction is being compared to an event in Siberia in 1908: the Tunguska event. In 1908, a small comet or asteroid exploded in Earth’s atmosphere and flatted miles of Siberian forest; it could have flattened a city instead if the timing had been different. Earth is mostly water, so an incoming asteroid would likely land in the ocean.
