MacOPINION : Marc Zeedar | Communicating Tech: "Going back to the Jabber example: I had to drill down several pages to find a 'simple' step-by-step explanation of how to 'use' Jabber. I was told to download a Jabber client (presumably I can skip that since iChat appears to support it) and configure an account on one of the 'open servers.'
That's where I got lost, for unlike AIM, which presented me with a link to create a free account right on the home page, this site gave me a bewildering list of hundreds of servers each with different features (all meaningless to me since I'm a Jabber newbie). I'm left floundering, with no idea which server's the right one to use. Does it even matter? I have no idea.
Unfortunately, such a scenario is much too common these days. Explanations consist of either too much detail (overwhelming) or not enough (no way for a beginner to make a decision)."

Marc Zeedar | Communicating Tech... Good Read
Daniel and I are working on yet another version of our PHOTOtool and Total Control Site pages to simplify further. Sometimes it a rock vs hardspot scenario. Are you telling enough? Are you telling too much? When we had a very simple site, we had tons of comments on what was missing. When we fleshed it out to be as informative as possible, we had tons of people who said it was too much to read. Constant struggle. This article is a good read for those interested in whether they are communicating clearly or not.
