Seth's Blog: Alphabetical order is obsolete: "Example: When I do a search in Google images, I want them sorted by relevance and then, within that, by size. Bigger is better.
Bookstores really don't have much choice. They need to alphabetize the books so you'll know that you'll find me in the Gs, near Malcolm Gladwell. But Amazon has no business using the alphabet, because almost any other ordering technique makes more sense."

Seth Goes After the Alphabet!
Well, not really. But his point is well taken on using Alphabetical Order to achieve a taxonomy. It really is useless for a lot of things... not the least are websites, files and images. You know, the things we use all the dang time. That's why I like tagging better. Adding a tag (or keyword in a way) gives more meaning... maybe adding an additional term for date/location may help, but putting Banana Tree next to Banal Tree is not helpful. Read Seth... he has more.
