The Online Photographer: On Authoritarianism

Interesting and thoughtful article.
The Online Photographer: On Authoritarianism: "But what happens when you create a thriving culture of anti-liberalism? Can you assume that most people understand the nuances of the terms, and are clear about exactly which features of the general principle are being demonized? Or do you just begin to get its opposite—authoritarianism—both in government and culture?"
The scary thing is how many people who call themselves "Liberals" are so hell bent in shutting people up who they disagree with. I find it so disconcerting that what I stood for and marched for and fought for in the 60's and the seventies is now embodied in the people who say they are 'progressive' and liberal. How can you say that and turn around and evoke tactics of the thought police, find evil in the simple word, or work to silence a dissenting minority?

Sounds more like fascism to me.
