An Antique Drill shot for a Builder Client

From the series:

We wanted a 'hand-finished' message for the builder, and the images / subject matter were created with that in mind. I was able to find this old drill in a friends dads garage and managed to borrow it for a few days.

Light is sunlight through glass block, mirrors for reflected fill and a small movie spotlight to open shadows a bit.

This series was shot on Polaroid 55PN, processed to negative and contact printed. You are viewing a scan of that contact print. Other than dust spotting no other Photoshop was used for the image. The camera is a Toyo 4x5 with a 210MM Schneider at 5.6. Base is swung to provide very limited DOF.
