The Time Magazine Cover Photo “Ripoff” « Mark Stout Photography – Photoshoot News & Models

Really well done article. I am working on a similar and, thank goodness, take a different look at the same problem. And that's good. This one should be mandatory reading before cracking open that first Microstock account. Absolutely!

Great job, Mark.
The Time Magazine Cover Photo “Ripoff” « Mark Stout Photography – Photoshoot News & Models:

"I fault no one for selling microstock. I do fault those who do not at least learn what their work is worth and demand improvement and fair licensing fees from the industry. As microstock is not likly to reform itself, I hope they educate themselves on the markets and value of their work and find more viable ways of earning a living as a photographer. And for those who attack anyone who suggests photographers should be treated as professionals, please, please, go get a job as a garbage collector. It’s just too difficult to understand the logic of someone who not only holds himself back but insists the rest of do not rise above your level. We can do without your efforts to pull us into the mud with you!"
