Security or Silliness: Are the Lunatics Winning?

Well of course they are. Britain, Scandinavia, France, Germany. Of course the lunatics are winning. Elections have consequences... and the lunatics are getting elected and being put in power... You know "ruling" America. To say that there is common sense is to be totally free of the pain of reality.
