"limits to free speech..." guess the University needs to get someone to teach the meaning of words. Free speech that isn't free isn't free. No fkn brainer. It is limited. Sad.
Ann Coulter: Should she limit her speech in Canada? - Point of View:
"American conservative Ann Coulter's three-day Canadian university tour has drawn the University of Ottawa into a debate over the limits of free speech."

I love it. Someone who isn't afraid to speak her mind. If you don't have a flying carpet, take a camel. Point blank too. Ha Ha Ha, more please.
Indeed. I think the best antidote to Coulter is to let her speak: very few will listen twice.
When people limit what is spoken about, it always comes back to being assured of their OWN position. I have no fear of listening to people with dissenting, stupid or outrageous positions.
If I don't like what I hear, I move on.
But if one side believes the best way to achieve power is to limit the speech of the other side, they would best learn that power changes sides every once in a while... and then the shoe is on the other foot.
And that shoe can be fuckin' painful.
There are, of course, reasonable limits to 'free speech'.
One cannot engage in libellous speech or slander without the risk of penalties so that's a limit to free speech.
Inciting acts of violence is also not 'free'. For example, it is legal to be stupid and bigotted and say “Rag-head talks tough, rag-head faces consequences” but it is not legal to say “Rag-head talks tough, we should go kill rag-heads”
While Ann Coulter flirts with the line -- and often crosses it -- no one should look for pre-emptive remedies. Let her speek.
My favorite Coulter quote:
They're [Democrats] always accusing us of repressing their speech. I say let's do it. Let's repress them. Frankly, I'm not a big fan of the First Amendment.
