NOTE: Not related to photography, rather the terrifyingly lame state of American media. You are warned.
Today the NYT decided to ask someone to write an opinion piece on civility in politics.
They chose PAUL E. KANJORSKI.
This is Kanjorski today:
"We all lose an element of freedom when security considerations distance public officials from the people. Therefore, it is incumbent on all Americans to create an atmosphere of civility and respect in which political discourse can flow freely, without fear of violent confrontation."
This is Kanjorski just a few months ago:
"Instead of running for governor of Florida, they ought to have him [Rick Scott, the Republican candidate for Florida governor] and shoot him. Put him against the wall and shoot him."
Hey, NYT... have you no editors? Can you not Google? Are you simply incapable of finding someone who has even a shred of decency and ethics? You actually put a guy up to write a 'civility' article who recently called for the murder of another politician? Are you kidding?
People died in Tucson, you idiots.
And all you can do is provide cover for the perpetrator, prepare his defence, and make blood libel a new sport.
Calling decent and good people murderers will not make them be less angry. You know.
Especially from one who advocated murder of his opponent.
Despicalble, NYT. Simply despicable
