I, for one, am content to have rigorously retained all my electronic rights. From the beginning in 1975. Thanks to digital rights, I now make a living from my books – which is more than I can say for all the years I was indentured to Simon and Shoestring.
Disruption. It's coming on many levels and in many areas we all hold sacred.
Guess what - they aren't sacred, they are systems. Systems are flawed... every one of them are flawed. Some more than others.
If you are a creative, the disruption is coming to you - fast.
Adopt or die, as they say.
Or continue to pitch a fit while hoping against hope that someone or something will come in and protect their system. Bail them out. Nope, they won't.
