The Astoria Bridge remains closed Monday morning, as crews work to remove the loosened platform panels that make travel across the bridge unsafe.
My wife and daughter were very nervous about this bridge. It does have sort of an ominous presence there.
We saw the work being done and wondered what would happen if the wind caught those big panels of material hanging there.
Guess we know now.
