"We wanted to let you know Dean is in the hospital and has been told his cancer has spread and it is not curable. We thought this might be the best way to reach some of you folks we felt might want to know. He was admitted with trouble breathing and recent scans show the cancer has spread throughout his system. He is quite heavily sedated with morphine to help manage the pain. It is unlikely he will be going home from the hospital. He is staying at Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa.
Keep him in your prayers please."
