There are a lot of free, open source alternatives to be considered. I use Amaya a lot, and there are others that I am becoming more familiar with. I can tell you that there is a ton of stuff that can be done on this stuff. More importantly, as we all end up with more and more computers, it becomes a financial decision as we start to update programs across three or four computers.
With the open source stuff running on my laptops, I am able to be mobile and keep working.
