Robert Adams | "The Place We Live" - quiet and elegant photographs from an iconic photographer

Are there affirmable days or places in our deteriorating world? Are there scenes in life, right now, for which we might conceivably be thankful? Is there a basis for joy or serenity, even if felt only occasionally? Are there grounds now and then for an unironic smile?

ROBERT ADAMS

I noticed a quote at A Photo Editor this morning and followed a few links to this page. I like Adam's work, the thoughtfulness approach that seems almost an afterthought in the viewing.

And yet, you know that it is not an afterthought.

It is planned and executed wonderfully.

Take a look at the work. It may give you an insight into a consistency of vision that this artist has continued to work with for decades.
